This growing importance of privacy has been reflected in the legal framework, such as the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (abbreviated as KVKK in Turkish) which entered into force on April 7, 2016 and other subsequent regulations that determine the procedures and principles of the protection of personal data.
